P1F2E: THE “NOVA SCOTIAN” GROUP:

John William “Jack” Coffey has traced his line, and that of a distant cousin, through Nova Scotia, back to an immigrant from County Cork in Ireland. He has actually travelled to Ireland a few times, and now has contacts there. But so far he has not found a person with his y-DNA match in Ireland. He continues to work on the problem.

 

He has a 67-marker test, but there are no matches at that level. Likewise there are no matches at 37-markers. 

 

This is stretching for a connection, but if we back off to 25-markers there are several matches at a GD of “2”, many to Ingram, Ingrum and Ingraham.

I looked at a couple of other matching names, and the one typically Irish name that seems most consistent with “Cork” is Hanrahan:
