John T. Myers is fairly easy to track via census, etc. But caution: There was another “John Myers” of about the same age in Clarke County - his wife was “Martha”.

In abt 1873 he married Amy C. Copock. In 1879 he and Amy donated land for the Smyrna Friends Church, Clarke Co. Amy’s parents were Thomas & Ann Coppock, founders of that church.

In 1880, 1885 and 1895 census he is found in Franklin, Clarke, IA, with wife Amy. In 1900 he is in Allerton, Wayne, IA with family. in 1910 he is in Wakarusa, Douglas, kansas.

John and Amy are buried at Smyrna Cemetery, along with their parents and two of their children.
