Virgil E. Walker, 56, of Waterloo died suddenly at work April 7, from a heart attack. Services were held Monday, April 11 at Waterloo with interment in the Waterloo Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Walker was born in Decatur County and attended the Leon schools. He moved to Waterloo 32 years ago.
He is survived by his wife Gay Nell, one daughter Karen Sue Netley of Santa Anna, Calif.; mother, Mrs. Clyde Northrup, Portland, Ore.; five sisters, Mrs. Leo (Elsie) Coffey, Garden Grove; Mrs. Cecil (Geraldine) Woolley, Leon; Mary Bonham, Fort Madison; Alma King, Revere, Mo.; and Florence Brock, Torrance, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Coffey of Garden Grove and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Woolley of Leon attended the services Monday.
