Thomas Riley the Immigrant b. 1619 County Caven or County Meath, Ireland was 16 years of age and a passenger on the "Dorsett" when he left the Port of London in 1635 bound for the Bermudas, later landing in Virginia. It is thought he was the brother or close relative of Garrett Riley age 24 and Miles Riley age 20 who arrived in Virginia aboard the Merchant Ship "Bon Adventure" in 1635 earlier in the year. All three were carpenters and artisans by trade. Garrett Riley returned after a time to County Meath, Ireland. Miles Riley went to Maryland and Thomas Riley went to Accomack Co. VA, where he practised his trades as carpenter, tanner and shoemaker. Thomas Riley also had a 600 acre patent of land; WD 1 Aug 1696; WP 1 Jun 1697 Accomack Co. VA. Thomas Riley married abt 1662 Sarah Lawrence? b. 1637; still living 1697
