In his will written on 22 March 1757 and proved 27 March 1758, Worley left his daughter Mary Maxey one shilling. This would seem to imply that she was alive at the time; however quite a few wills have been found in which the heirs named were already deceased, and it is presumed that the inclusion of Mary’s name was made simply to aviod any claims by her heirs against her father’s estate.
