"A guide to Virginia Militia Units in the war of 1812, served as private with the Captain Anthony Van Sickles Co. of Riflemen, 2nd regiment, Virginia Militia. Mustered into service at Point Pleasant on Sept. 28, 1812, served until March 27, 1813. One of first 60 electors to vote in Franklin Twp. in 1816.
