NOTE FROM HIS “FIND A GRAVE” MEMORIAL”
“SAMUEL FROST, son of Ephraim and Sarah, born Dec. 18, 1716, married, Feb. 19, 1711, Abigail, daughter of Deacon John Cutter. He was admitted to membership in the Precinct Church at its organization, Sept. 9, 1739. He was Precinct Committeeman and Assessor in 1768-69, and was excused in 1770. Was Precinct Collector in 1749, and in 1771, was fined for not serving. In 1773, the money so paid went toward fencing the cemetery.
“On the nineteenth of April, 1775, he and his fellow townsman, Seth Russell, were made prisoners to the British; and were reported "missing, supposed to be on one of the men-of-war." Their imprisonment lasted forty-nine days. His wife died Mar. 10, 1796, and he died Oct. 1, 1798. (Frost Genealogy)
