In connection with a suit involving Thomas Faxon in the winter of 1651 in Braintree, Mass. He inherited from his father Thomas Blanchard 20 acres near the house, 20 acres of meadow, 1/2 the old field next to the house, 7 acres next to the meadow, and 1/2 of 40 acres of pasture.
The selectmen of Charlestowne were several times called upon to settle disputes over the fencing on the farm after Nathaniel had sold half of his share. Such disputes arose almost yearly from 1661 until 1694.
The only other matter in the selectmen's records concerning George Blanchard is an order issued on April 24, 1672, citing him for neglecting the proper education of his children, specifically, in the "knowledge and fear of God".
He was listed in 1678 among the inhabitants of Charlestowne, Mystic Side. He was assessed 6s6d in the 1688 Charlestowne tax roll. His will was made October 16, 1689 at Charlestowne, MA. His will was proved April 2, 1700 in Middlesex County, MA. His will was disallowed by the court, and a lengthy battle ensued. The final settlement gave two shares to the eldest son Joseph and one each to George, Abraham, Elizabeth, Hannah, Ruth, Bethiah, the children of Sarah, and Rachel. The will mentions eldest son Joseph by first wife, son George, and son Abraham.
