Was born in 1888 in what is now Zdunska Wola, Poland. But at the time it was under Russian control. He arrived in New York on the ship “Potsdam” on 16 May 1907, along with his parents and siblings.

He married Angela Poeltl and settled in Allentown, PA, where he worked as a weaver in a silk mill. Easily found in various census and WWI/WWII draft records. They had one son, Edwin Sebastian Malesky (1913-1970).

We (Fred & Carol Coffey) have a landscape painting in our house that was acquired from Carol’s parents Albert and Carrie Lehman. It is signed “S. Malesky 1964”. This was a mystery for many years, but we now know that it was painted by Sebastian, when he was age 76.

He died in 1971.
