CAUTION: There are many trees on Ancestry.com that show Zachariah Smith and Sussanna Grout as the parents of Jonas Smith. However many of those show both parents as DECEASED before Jonas was born! However Mass. Town and Vital Records show Jonas as the son of Zach and Susanna Smith. Based on this, I consider the connection probable, and think the error may be in the reported death dates for the parents.
