In 1974 (or 1975?) I successfully graduated from Kindergarten in Sydney, Australia (class rank and GPA unknown).
In 1992 I graduated from a four-year program at Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken NJ

I then studied for several years in the Department of Cognitive and Neural Systems, Boston University.
Currently I work at Riverside Research Institute (RRI) in Lexington, MA where I have been a Member of the Research Staff since 1996. Projects have covered both phased-array and dish radars for endo/exo-atmospheric tracking. Other work includes imaging, statistical signal processing and neural networks.
From 1993 to 1996 I worked at the United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM), Natick, MA on a variety of projects in the Neuroscience and Nutrition Divisions. Work has included experimental performance, psychological, and nutrition research with human and animal subjects. A personal ambulatory monitoring device was designed, built and tested by myself and Dr. Harris Lieberman (Patent number 5 million and change).
Prior to this I have worked a series of part-time and summer jobs.

Undergraduate Thesis - Part 1 - "Image compression using a backpropagation neural network." - Using a pyramidal wavelet transformation, we are able to selectively compress areas of an image with a backpropagation network based on the human sensitivity to contrast, (1992).
Undergraduate Thesis - Part 2 - "A knowledge-based approach to aircraft signature recognition." - An object silhouette can be transformed into a signature function. This can be translated into a series of wavelets which a neural network can use to categorize the object, (1992).
