Antha Lee Coffey Lewis

Antha Lee Coffey Lewis, age 82, formerly of Carolina Rehabilitation Center of Burke County, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley. She was born October 30, 1925 in Watauga County to the late Horace Clinton and Viola Talmadge Cook Coffey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred T. Lewis, and three brothers, Ralph Coffey, Robey Coffey, and Randolph Coffey.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of First Baptist Church of Icard.

Survivors include two daughters, Terri L. Rhyder and husband Scott of Valdese and Ramonia Auton of Lenoir; seven grandchildren, Emily Rhyder, Matthew Rhyder, and Chris Rhyder, all of Valdese and Shannon Clark, Kelly Philyaw, J.T. Auton, and Misty Auton, all of Lenoir; and seven great grandchildren, Amanda Philyaw, Jonathan Hall, Nicolai Martin, Samantha Auton, J.R. Clark, and Cody Clark,Gracie Patrick, all of Lenoir.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2007 at Greer McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rick Hildebran.

Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Rhyder, Chris Rhyder, Matthew Rhyder, James Clark, Kevin Woody, and J.T. Auton.
