Mrs Cleo Proffitt Coffey, 73, homemaker, died Sept. 14, 1989, at Watauga County Hospital. Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Survivors are her son, Kent Coffey; daughters, Mrs. Nancy Moretz, Miss Judy Coffey, Mrs. Jane Campbell; brothers, Lloyd Proffitt of Willoughby, Ohio, John Proffitt of Clarksville, Tenn., Baxter Proffitt of Mount Airy; sisters, Mrs. Edith Miller, Mrs. Blanche Miller, Mrs. Viola Norris.
