Carroll A. Coffey, 68, of LaFollette, died Thursday, June 12 at LaFollette Medical Center. He was a retired grocery merchant and was a member of the American Legion and the First Baptist Church of LaFollette. He was a veteran of World War II.

Funeral services were Sunday, June 15, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Young and Brother Carl Bradshaw officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery with DAV Chapter 105 in charge of graveside services.

Survivors include his son, William C. Coffey of Decatur, Ga.; mother, Grace Coffey of LaFollette; brother, James Arch Coffey, Jr. of Morristown; sister, Edith Reynolds of LaFollette; and three grandchildren.

Carrol Arch Coffey and Livia M. Gladson were married on 7 October 1935 in Hamblen Co., TN.³⁹²⁰¹ Livia M. Gladson was born in 1915. Livia died at Oak Ridge Hospital in Oak Ridge, Anderson Co., TN on 25 August 1959 and was buried at LaFollette, Campbell Co., TN on 27 August 1959.³⁹²⁰²

MRS. LIVIA COFFEY PASSES AWAY AT 44

Mrs. Livia Coffey, age 44, died Tuesday, August 25, at an Oak Ridge Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of LaFollette.

Survivors are: the husband, Carroll Coffey; son, William Coffey; brothers, Haskel Gladson of LaFollette and Brady Gladson of Rogersville; sister, Mrs. Clara Harris of Wyandotte, Michigan.

Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the LaFollette First Baptist Church with the Rev. Haskel Bolding officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Cross and Berry Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge.
