She was born May 4, 1916, in Burnsville, North Carolina. She was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church Morristown and for twenty-seven years was part-owner of Little Dutch Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Coffey and parents, Ben and Flora Peterson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Donald and Pat Pressley Coffey, of Jackson, Tennessee, son and daughter-in-law; Drs. Ben and Kitty Roberts Coffey of Morristown, Tennessee and granddaughters; Caryn Coffey Brannen and husband, Jeff of Germantown, Tennessee, and Cheryl Coffey Tabor and husband Scott of Jackson, Tennessee, five great grandchildren Victoria Farnsworth, Joshua and Savannah Tabor, Rebecca and Rachel Brannen. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 12, 2004, at 8:00 p.m in the chapel of Mays Mortuary, Morristown, TN with the Rev. Darris Doyal officiating. Graveside service will be Friday, August 13. 2004 11:00 am in Jarnagin Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 12, 2004 from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church Morristown, TN or the American Cancer Society. Mayes Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
