William died of a internal injuries suffered from fall at the age of 70 when he fell from a house on 24 September 1935 in Steubenville, Wayne Co., KY. He is thought to have been buried at Monticello, Wayne Co., KY at Tuggle-Sandusky Cemetery on 26 September 1935.^26373,26374
