Emma died on 7 April 1960 at the age of 86 in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA and was buried at White Rock Cemetery near Montebello, Nelson Co., VA.14331

Mrs. Emma Jane Coffey, 86, widow of Robert A. Coffey, Rt. 2, Waynesboro died Thursday afternoon (April 7, 1960) at 4:45 at the home of a foster son, Orcie W. Taylor, Rt. 2, Waynesboro. She was a daughter of the late William H. and Martha Jane Taylor and was born Dec. 31, 1873 in Montebello. She was a member of the White Rock Christian Church in Nelson Co.. Surviving are two foster sons, Orcie Taylor, Elwood W. Taylor, Waynesboro; two brothers, Henry M. Taylor, Montebello; Lafayette G. Taylor, Massies Mill; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at two p.m. at the Evergreen Christian Church conducted by the Rev. Robert Allen. Interment will be in the White Rock cemetery.

Coffey and Sarah Ann Fitzgerald, was born on 25 May 1883 in Montebello, Nelson Co., VA. Robert resided with his parents in Massies Mill Dist., Nelson Co, VA on 15 June 1900. Robert resided with his parents in Massies Mill Dist., Nelson Co, VA on 22 April 1910. Robert died on 13 March 1959 at the age of 75 at home in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA and was buried at White Rock Cemetery near Montebello, Nelson Co., VA.14327,14328

WAYNESBORO - Robert Alexander Coffey, 75, died at 2:35 a. m. today at his home, Rt. 2. Waynesboro (March 13. 1959) after a long illness. He was born May 25, 1883, in Montebello, a son of the late Alexander S. and Sarah Fitzgerald Coffey. He was a retired farmer and a member of the White Rock Christian Church. Nelson County, where he had served as an elder for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Taylor Coffey; two foster sons, Orcie Taylor, Rt. 2, Waynesboro, Elwood Taylor, Waynesboro; one sister, Mrs. E. B. Fitzgerald, Roseland; one brother, A. F. Coffey, Rt. 2, Staunton; also a number of nieces und nephews. The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until one hour prior to the services and will be placed in the Evergreen Christian Church Sunday at one p. m. where the funeral services will be conducted at two p. m. by the Rev. Robert Allen, with interment in White Rock Cemetery.
