Mrs. Ford was born May 19, 1918 in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Horace and Tisha Greene. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Ford is survived by one daughter, Margie Ford Mote of Brevard, and three sons, Joe Ingle Ford and wife Julia of the Foscoe Community, Norman J. Ford, and William Rannie Ford and wife Linda G., all of Boone. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ingle Ford, and two grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Rhoda Greene Ford will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, April 14, 2009, at 2:00 o'clock, at Friendship United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state, at the church, from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Reverend Edwin McKinney. Burial will follow in the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.
