Palmer L. Coffey

SPENCER --- Mr. Palmer L. Coffey, 64, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

He was born on July 3, 1939, in Caldwell County to the late Alice Saunders Coffey and Thomas Leroy Coffey.

Mr. Coffey worked as a rock mason and as a timber worker in Blowing Rock.
He was a member of the Advent Church of Blowing Rock for 55 years.
He is survived by: his wife, Bobbi L. Coffey, whom he married Nov. 17, 1988; a stedaughter, Janet S. Jarrell of Granite Quarry; a brother, James C. "Pete" Coffey of Blowing Rock; and a sister, Mary Lois McCroskey of Blowing Rock. He is also survived by one stepgranddaughter.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Allen, minister of Milford Hills Baptist Church, Salisbury, officiating. A visitation time will take place following the memorial service at the funeral home.
