Ralph J. Campbell, 63, of Route 1, Box 346, Lyndhurst, died Friday morning (July 9, 1993) in Waynesboro Community Hospital.

Campbell retired from WaynTex in 1992 after 21 years of work. He was a member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge #1309.

He was born June 19, 1930, in Nelson County, a son of George and Bessie (Fitzgerald) Campbell.

He was married to Louise C. Campbell, who died Sept. 20, 1991. A daughter, Dreama Mae Wood, died Sept. 8, 1991.

Surviving are a son, Steven Michael Campbell of Nellysford; three brothers, Ray Campbell of Waynesboro, Eldon Campbell of Stuarts Draft and Wilson Campbell ofGreenville; a sister, Daisy Demastus of Stuarts Draft; and six grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday in Augusta Memorial Park by Robert Mansfield and the Rev. Charles Ramsey.

The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home.

Ralph Junior Campbell and Louise Shirley Coffey were married. Louise Shirley Coffey, daughter of Forrest Alvern Coffey and Eva M. Campbell, was born on 24 July 1936 in Nelson Co., VA. She died in an automobile accident on 20 September 1991 at the age of 55 in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA and was buried at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA on 24 September 1991.28935,28936

SHERANDO -- Louise Shirley (Coffey) Campbell, 55, of Rt. 1, Lyndhurst and wife of Ralph J. Campbell, died Friday afternoon (Sept. 20,1991) in an automobile accident which occurred near Sherando.

She was born July 24, 1936 in Nelson County, a daughter of Forest and Eva (Campbell) Coffey. She was a press operator with Genesco-The Greif Co., having completed 13 years of service prior to a medical retirement in 1968. She was a member of Mountain Top Christian Church.

In addition to her parents of Lyndhurst and husband, survivors include one son, Steven Michael Campbell of Nellysford; two sisters, Ruby Coffey of Lyndhurst and Madeline Hewitt of Waynesboro; one brother, Richard T. Coffey of Stuarts Draft; and six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by the Revs. T. Ray Coffey, Robert Mansfield and Charles C. Ramsey. Burial will be in Augusta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gary Demastus, Melvin Glass, Ed Fitzgerald, Lewis Campbell, Eldon Campbell, Wilson Campbell and Randy Fitzgerald. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces, nephews and friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
