Alvora Coffey

Versailles - Services for Alvora Coffey, 63, who died Saturday, were dunducted Monday at the McKinney Baptist Church at Middleburg. Burial was in the Hustonville Cemetery. He was a retired railroad employe [sic] and carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Frederick Coffey, McKinney; his mother, Mrs. Florin Wade Coffey, McKinney, two sons, Donald and Kenneth Coffey, Versailles; a brother, Edward Coffey, Concinnati; two sisters, Mrs. Maynard Hurst, Philmore, Ind., and Mrs. Otis Coleman, McKinney, and seven grandchildren.

Alvora U. "Pos" Coffey and Ella Bella Frederick were married. They appeared in the census on 6 May 1930 on Railroad St. in Hustonville, Lincoln Co., KY.²⁵⁰⁷³ They²⁵⁰⁷³ appeared in the census on 15 April 1940 in Hustonville, Lincoln Co., KY.²⁵⁰⁷⁴ Ella Bella Frederick, daughter of Jesse Frederick and Lula Gifford, was born on 27 December 1908 in Casey Co., KY. Ella died on 22 April 2004 at the age of 95 at Stanford House Nursing Home in Stanford, Lincoln Co., KY and was also buried at Hustonville Cemetery in Hustonville, Lincoln Co., KY on 24 April 2004.^{25075,25076,25077}

Services for Ella B. Coffey, 97, of Hustonville, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Glen Peck. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

She died Thursday at Stanford House nursing home.

Born Dec. 27, 1908, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Lula Gifford Frederick. She was a homemaker, a member of McKinney Baptist Church and the widow of Alvora Coffey.

Survivors include a brother, Coleman Frederick of North Vernon, Ind.; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Clyde, Donald and Kenneth Coffey.

Pallbearers will be Gary Peck, Darryl Frederick, Chuck Smith, Larry Pike, Fred Reichenbach and Frank Wethington.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.
