3186. Newel Elmore Coffey was born on 10 November 1876 in Lincoln Co., KY. Newel was a veteran of the Spanish-American War for Cuban Independence from Spain between 25 April 1898 and 12 August 1898.¹¹⁰³⁶

Newell was a sergeant in Co. L of the US 11th Infantry during the Spanish-American War.
He appeared in the census on 11 June 1900 at Port of San Juan, Commanding General & Staff Hq Dept. in San Juan, Puerto Rico.¹¹⁰³⁷ Newel died at Wadsworth VA Hospital in Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., KS on 16 December 1964 and was buried at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Franklin Co., KS in December 1964 .¹¹⁰³⁸

Newel Elmore Coffey and Angelita Urdinoarrain were married on 20 October 1900 in Puerto Rico. Angelita Urdinoarrain was born circa 1887 in Puerto Rico. She appeared in the census on 20 April 1910 at Puerta de Tierra in San Juan, Puerto Rico.¹¹⁰³⁹ She appeared in the census on 17 April 1940 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.¹¹⁰⁴⁰

Veatch, was born on 28 February 1869 in Louisiana. Ida died in Franklin Co., KS in 1937 and was buried at Lane Cemetery in Lane, Franklin Co., KS in 1937 .¹¹⁰⁴⁴
