She was former president of the Adair County Disabled American Veterans and was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY Pauline Coffey Pegg age 87 years a resident of Summit Manor Nursing Home formerly of the Milltown Community passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 11:50 am CT, at Summit Manor after several weeks illness. The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 1 pm CT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Todd Akin the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 450 Scott Hill RD. Visitation is after 3:30 pm CT, Monday, June 28, 2010, at the funeral home. She was born Thursday, February 15, 1923 in Cane Valley, KY the daughter of the late Jim Will and Ethel Karnes Stone of Adair Co. KY. She died Sunday, June 27, 2010, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 87 years, 4 months, and 12 days. She was preceded in death by husbands, Thomas Coffey on April 15, 1983, and Charles Woodrow Pegg on April 12, 2008. She is survived by the following: Two sons: Terry Coffey of Glensfork, KY; Gary Coffey and wife Judy of Columbia, KY; One grandson: Jeremy Coffey of Columbia, KY; Two sisters: Judy Coomer of Columbia, KY and Martha Parnell of Louisville, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Lewis Stone, Stanley Stone, Clyde Stone, Willard Stone, Shively Stone, Kenneth Stone, Mitchell Stone, Horace Stone, J.W. Stone, James Stone, Ernest Stone, Shirley Maupin, Cecil Robertson and Lucille Stone. Mrs. Pegg was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church and was Past President of the Adair County Disabled American Veterans. She was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.
