She was born Dec. 25, 1909, in Caldwell County to the late Silas M. and Maggie Philyaw Coffey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Cook; and six brothers. Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and was of Baptist faith. Survivors include a son, Doug Cook of Scottsville; two daughters, Mrs. Paul J. (Marie) C. Smith of Boone and Mrs. Marshall (Betty) Bradshaw of Hudson; three sisters, Mrs. John (Faye) Keller, Mrs. J. B. (Opal) Myers and Mrs. Wayne (Edith) Robbins, all of Lenoir; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunrise Baptist Church with the Rev. Edd Warren officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Chris and Tim Bradshaw, Ben Smith, Bobby Robbins, Johnny Williams, Pat Alley, Doug Kraus and J.B.
