She was born on Nov. 3, 1913, in Avery County to the late Julious Coffey and Clearcy Adams Coffey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Leason O. Gragg; one son, Wilburn Ronda Sumter; and two grandsons. Mrs. Watson was a retired textile employee and a member of Granite Falls Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Clenard A. Watson of Lenoir; one son, Dallas James Gragg of Hudson; five daughters, Iristine Benshears of Millers Creek, Bonnie Fowler and Wilma Bumgarner, both of Hudson, Judy Horne of Saluda, S.C. and Peggy Gragg of Granite Falls; 18 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. The funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Granite Falls Church of God with the Revs. James Black and D. J. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Mackie-High Funeral Home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
