Coffey, 81, formerly of Miller Road, Pottstown, Pa., passed away Friday, June 3, 2005, in Zerbe Sisters Nursing Home, Narvon, Pa. She was the widow of the late Willie "Bill" M. Coffey. Born in Lenoir, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Windom and Vinie Gragg. Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, sewing, traveling, crafts, gardening and listening to country gospel music. Surviving are four sons, William Coffey of Calabash, N.C., Ray Coffey of Douglassville, Pa., Tracy Coffey of Houston, Texas, and Gary Coffey of Morgantown, Pa.; three daughters, Barbara Rodey of Kabul, Afghanistan, and Las Placitas, N.M., Brenda Coffey of Kluhsman or Hershey, Pa., and Karen Ridge of Reading, Pa.; one brother, Gene Gragg of Lenoir, N.C.; seven sisters, Thelma Caldwell of Conover, N.C., Nelda Green, Carolyn Poteat, Ruby Crisp and Janice Smith, all of Lenoir, N.C., Mildred Ivey of Monticello, Ga., Ruth Houston of Hickory, N.C.; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday, June 11, 2005, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul L. Jones officiating. Relatives and friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, June 11 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown, Pa. 19465.
