Mrs. Mary Ruth Coffey, 71, retired Holly Farms employee, died Feb. 14, 1989, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Funeral is 1 p.m. Friday at Miller's Funeral Home with burial at Boone Fork Baptist Church cemetery in Watauga County. Visitation is 6 to 8:30 tonight.

Survivors are her sons, Auburn Coffey of Statesville, Glen Coffey of Hickory, Leonard Coffey of Sophia, Marvin Coffey of Sea Grove, Clarence Coffey; daughters, Mrs. Pearl Wilcox, Mrs. Pauline Cornett; brother, Ed Townsend.
