James Howard "Dud" "Doug" Crump, 60, of 718 Blowing Rock Blvd., Lenoir, died Saturday, April 18, 1992, at the residence.

He was born Mar 24, 1932, in Caldwell County to the late Robert "Bob" Crump and Hattie Coffey Crump Deaton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Mikeal Crump; two daughters, Frances Elaine Crump and Mona Jean Crump; one brother, Clarence Crump; and two half-sisters, Annie Bolton and Eva Wright.

Mr. Crump was disabled and was a former employee of Kincaid Furniture. He attended Maple Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Shirley Philyaw Crump of Lenoir; six sons, William Crump, Robert "Pat" Crump, Clayton Crump, Wade Crump, Norman Crump and Terry Crump, all of Lenoir; one daughter, Melissa Jones of Lenoir; one half-brother, Don Crump of Gastonia; one...[the obituary ended here]
