Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. She was born Nov. 27, 1921, in Avery County to the late Grover and Cora Gragg Coffey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. McLean. Mrs. McLean was a retired inspector for Banner Elk Clove Co. and a member of Watauga Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Albert McLean of Lenoir; two daughter, Maxine Shook of Banner Elk and JoAnn Kershner of Holbrook, Mass.; one brother Eugene Coffey of Hudson; three sisters, Esslene Gragg of Lenoir, Myrtle Lyda of Granite Falls and Mary Bumgarner of Hudson; and four grandchildren. The funeral is 2 p.m. today at Watauge Baptist Church in Boone with the Rev. Clyde Cornett and Mike Barfoot officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Louria C. Coffey and Fred Lewis McLean were married. Fred Lewis McLean, son of James Harvey McLean and Hattie L. Banner, was born on 27 May 1918 in Watauga Co., NC.45327 Fred died of terminal liver cancer on 15 August 1972 at the age of 54 at Watauga County Hospital in Boone, Watauga Co., NC and was buried at Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery in Boone, Watauga Co., NC on 17 August 1972.45328,45329 Louria C.
