A native of Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Gus F. and Betty Beard Coffey. She had worked as a legal secretary and bookkeeper for J.V Bowers & Crossnore School, Inc. Bonnie was a member of the Crossnore Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Survivors include her son, Toby Rash and wife Donetta of Crossnore; two grandsons, Ben Rash of Crossnore and Mark Rash of Al Asad, Iraq and great grandson Harley Rash. Interment services will be held in the Crossnore Baptist Church Cemetery. Son of the late Alvin and Olive Rash, Mr. Rash was a member of the Crossnore Baptist Church and worked as a truck driver. Survivors of Mr. Rash include wife, Bonnie Coffee Rash of the home, son, Toby and wife Donnette Rash of Newland, brother Ned Rash of Yorktown VA, grandsons, Mark Rash and Benjamin Rash of Crossnore and great-grandson Harley Ray Rash of Montezuma.
