19034. Ronald "Ronnie" Loudermilk was born on 17 May 1921 in Avery Co., NC. He lived with his uncle Daniel in Gwaltneys Twp., Alexander Co., NC on 9 April 1930. Ronald enlisted in the US Army on 16 January 1943 at Camp Croft, Spartanburg Co., SC.⁴⁶³³⁷ Ronnie died on 28 April 2010 at the age of 88 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausolem in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 1 May 2010.⁴⁶³³⁸

Ronald Loudermelt, age 88, of Ralph Winchester Road, Lenoir, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. He was born May 17, 1921 in Avery County to the late Abe and Bertha Coffey Loudermelt.

Mr. Loudermelt was a plumber and member of Skyland Church of God. He was also a United States World War II Air Force Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lela Brown Loudermelt of the home; one son, David Loudermelt of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Ethleene Glass and husband Dave of Chicago, Illinois, Ms. Carol Wilson of Collettesville, Ms. Theresa Loudermelt of the home and Mrs. Barbara Jett and husband Jerry of Lenoir; three half brothers, Paul Jennings and Bobby Jennings of California and Ralph Jennings; three half sisters, Mrs. Essie Crump of Hickory, Mrs. Mabel Pitts and Mrs. Dolly Panter, both of Lenoir; and six grandchildren.

Entombment will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Lenoir conducted by Rev. Bryan Davis.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons.
