Muriel Watson Warren, age 75 of 495 Signal Hill Drive, Statesville, passed away Saturday February 19, 2011 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, after extended illness. She was born April 4, 1935 in Watauga County to the late Charles Watson and Bernice Coffey Watson. Mrs. Warren was a homemaker and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Warren; one brother; and three sisters.

She is survived by one son, Bill Warren of Hudson; two daughters, Kathy Hixon of Charlotte and Sue Ramos of Jacksonville, NC; two brothers, Clemmon Watson of Boone and Harold Watson of Elkin; one sister, Carmelie Welborn of Deep Gap; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00pm Monday February 21, 2011 at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery. Dr. Tim Brittain will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Sunday evening at Chapman Funeral Home.
