Obituary, The News-Topic, Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC, Nov. 19, 2003 Margaret Summerlin Margaret Jeanette Summerlin, 63, of Poplar Street, Lenoir, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born May 29, 1940, in Caldwell County to Carlene Storie Summerlin of Lenoir and the late Rufus H. Summerlin, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Summerlin. She was retired from the dealer services at Broyhill Furniture Industries Inc. and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lenoir. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a sister, Brenda Summerlin Tickle of Rutledge, Tenn.; a brother, Rufus H. Summerlin, Jr. of Lenoir; three nieces, Emily Tickle Thomas of Cordova, Tenn., Maggie Summerlin Thomas of Denver, Colo. and Heather Summerlin Gragg of Lenoir; one nephew, Bryan Tickle of Cary; five great nephews and one great niece. The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gerrit Scott Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
