She was born in Caldwell County on Dec. 6, 1921, to the late Leonard Coleman Lee and Clara Elmira Barlow Lee. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Stallings, and second husband, Fred Cobb; a brother, Leonard Ray Lee; and a sister, Ester Lee Hayes. Mrs. Cobb was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She had a love of gardening, bird watching and crossstitch. She was loved by all and she dearly loved her family. Those left to cherish her memor y are her sons, Colon Stallings and wife Norma of Lenoir, Kenneth Stallings and wife Rachel of Hudson, and Larry Stallings and wife Sandy of Hudson; a sister, Betty Jo "Midge" Greer of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Tammy Stallings Thomasson and husband David of Hudson, Bryan Stallings of Lenoir, Frazier Stallings and wife Melissa of Hudson, Jeana Stallings Shehan and husband Kevin of Hudson, Mark Stallings and wife Rhonda of Effingham, S.C., Todd Stallings and wife Carla of Waxhaw, and Tracey Stallings and wife Traci of Mooresville; great-grandchildren, Katie, Hannah, Trent and Nicholas Stallings, Emily and Carter Thomasson, Josh and Mallorie Shehan. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Guyer officiating. Burial will be private.
