In the 1880 census this child was named Kansas. However, her father is incorrectly named Solomon in that census. Sibby and Joseph had a child, age 3, named Solomon. Candus' headstone reports her birth date as Oct., 1875. However, in the 1900 census she gave her birth date as May 1877. In the 1880 census she was 4 yrs. old. She lived with her parents in Little River Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 9 June 1880. Candes died in Omak, Okanogan Co., WA on 15 July 1942 and was buried at Okanogan City Cemetery in Okanogan, Okanogan Co., WA in July 1942 .^31172,31173
