Ardena died at Waynesboro Community Hospital in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA on 13 February 1965 and was buried at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA on 15 February 1965 .29625 Obituary, Waynesboro News Virginian, Feb. 15, 1965 Mrs. Ardena Frances Phillips, 73, of 2062 Lyndhurst Rd., died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Waynesboro Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for two months. Mrs. Phillips was born in Nelson County on Sept. 27, 1892, a daughter of the late Marcellus and Teressa Fitzgerald Coffey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Phillips, on Oct. 15, 1964. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Oak Hill Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Freeman (Dora) Luce of Hampden, Me., Mrs. Clyde (Peggy) Argenbright of Waynesboro and Mrs. Wilson (Gladys) Puckett of Route 1, Hollins; one son, Frank V. Phillips of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, John H. Coffey of Stuarts Draft; one sister, Mrs. Nealie Sweet of Roanoke; three half-brothers, Herbert Coffey of Waynesboro, Lee Coffey of Baltimore, Md., and Charles Coffey, with the U. S. Army in Korea, two half-sisters, Mrs. Elijah Thompson and Mrs. Ella Fretwell, both of Stuarts Draft; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of the Etter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Clemmer Matheny, assisted by the Rev. B. C. Jamison. Interment will be in Augusta Memorial Park. Ardena Frances Coffey and Jack Phillips were married. Jack Phillips was born in 1888. Jack died in Virginia on 15 October 1964 and was buried at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA in October 1964 .29626 Ardena Frances Coffey and Jack Phillips had the following children:
