ANNIE RUTH TOBY

Annie Ruth Toby passed away July 17, 2007. She was born August 20, 1922, the daughter of the late James Carter Dalton and Louisa Pearl Coffey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton E. Toby, and brothers, Charles Willard Dalton and Carroll Dalton. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Karen Jean Toby and son, Brian Keith (Vickie) Toby, granddaughter, Meagan L. Toby, and grandson, Billy S. Toby. She is also survived by her sister, Jackie I. Bell, nephew, Steven L. Bell and niece, Elisabeth (James) Henderson as well as many great-nieces and nephews.

She was happiest serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the many ministries of her beloved church, Calvary Baptist Church. A willing worker, she served in the service and outreach ministries of her church as well as a faithful choir member.

Calling hours will be observed Thursday, July 19, from the hours of 5-7 p.m. with a funeral service following at 7 p.m. Both the calling hours and funeral will be at the Calvary Baptist Church, 706 Rosedale Ave, Morristown, with the Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, July 20, at 10 a.m. in Jarnagin Cemetery.

Annie Ruth Dalton and Clayton Ernest Toby were married. Clayton Ernest Toby was born on 20 June 1927 in Jefferson Co., TN. Clayton died in Morristown, Hamblen Co., TN on 23 September 1993 and was buried at Emma Jarnagin Cemetery in Morristown, Hamblen Co., TN in September 1993 .^39322,39323
