Claude Bruce was the son of Cornelius and Rose Cook Dalton. He was a World War II Veteran. He died in a factory accident in Newport, TN. Survived by his wife, Myrtle Faye Branam Dalton; sons, Claude Dalton Jr (Va), Ronald Edward Dalton, (White Pine, Tn), Larry Douglas Dalton (US Navy); daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ogle,Jamice Faye Dalton, Penny Kate Dalton all of Sevierville; stepmother, Velva Dalton; brothers, Carson Dalton, Paul Dalton, Bill Calton, Lawrence Dalton, Wayne Dalton all of Rutledge, Tennessee; sisters, Katherine Garland, Doris Diamond, Edna Welch, Bernice Thomas, Jeanette Owens and Elora Dalton. He was a member of the Sevier County Court, member of Sims Chapel Baptist Church; and Mt Star Lodge #197 F&AM.

DALTON, MYRTLE F. - age 78 of Sevierville, died Sunday June 17, 2001 at the University of Tenn. Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Dalton, Sr.; mother, Pearlie Branam; father, Alvin Branam; brother, Wayne Branam. Survivors: Ronald Dalton & wife, Janette, Larry Dalton & wife, Patsy; daughters, Janice Lyle & husband, Ted, Penny Johnson; step children, Claude Dalton, Jr., Ruth Agee; grandchildren, Cortney Johnson & wife, Sara, Marsey Garner, Brad Dalton; great grandchildren, Hannah and Teyler; sisters, Edith Gregg, Nell Kirby. Funeral service 7 p.m. Monday in the West Chapel of Atchely Funeral Home with Rev. Kim McCroskey and Rev. Todd Houston officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sims Chapel Cemetery for the interment.
