"Mom was like one of those pioneer women of old. In Kentucky she did the work of a farmhand and everything else on the farm. She came to Cincinnati and worked in many factories and packing houses. She worked for Crosley radio, putting them together. She lived with an aunt for a while , then got an apartment and all her furniture. She later met my Dad in the Church of God . He was in the Army. He served 7 years. When he met and married Mom, he ''bought out" of the Army to raise a family. They had 11 children in a 20 year span... Having one every two years. Mom worked hard to raise her children... the best mother a person could have. She was very strict , but very kind and motherly. She raised a garden every year since we moved out of the city. She was one of those people who rarely sat down. I can't say enough good about her. She was one of a kind..One of those strong Coffeys. My Dad worked in a leather Co. and then at General Motors as a press operator for over 30 years. That is why we moved to Fairfield, Ohio later, where Fisher Body was located. It is no longer there."
