Johnny Coffey

Johnny Ray Coffey, 71, went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2006. He was employed at Broyhill Furniture and was of Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his father Thomas N. Coffey and mother Ella Mae Loudermilk Coffey, 15 brothers and sisters.

Mr. Coffey is survived by his wife, Ruby Grace Coffey; four sons, John Thomas Coffey, Danny Ray Coffey, Larry Wayne Coffey and wife Kathy and Robert Scott Coffey and wife Deanna, all of Lenoir; three daughters, Carrie Mae Katosh and husband Paul and Rebecca Diane and husband Kelly Graham, and Michelle Chester, all of Lenoir; a brother, Clinton Coffey of Lenoir and a sister, Dolly Coffey and husband Dayton of Asheboro. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

John was always known as “Big John” and “Tootie Fruity” and was well-known and liked in the community. We will miss our beloved father and friend.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 11, 2006, at Pendry's Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 12 at 4 p.m. at White Springs Cemetery in Blowing Rock.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Adams, Mark Adams, Billy Clontz, Zack Coffey, Donald Shatley, Paul Katosh and George Pittman.

Memorials may be sent to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.

Mr. Robert Scottie Coffey, age 49, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his father; Johnny Ray Coffey and a brother in law, Kelly Graham. He is survived by his fiancé Deanna Edwards of the home, his mother; Grace Coffey of the home, on son; Zachary Scott Coffey and wife Tabitha, two grandsons; Hunter and Levi, two sisters; Rebecca Graham and Mrs. Carrie Coffey and Paul Katosh, all of Lenoir, three brothers; Larry, Danny and John Coffey all of Lenoir, two step-brothers; Johnny and Jerry Arnette of Lenoir, two step sisters, Kim and Mary Arnette of Lenoir, four nieces; Gracie, Brittany, Agnes and Kimberly and four nephews; Johnathan, Tyler, Ryan and Joey.

Graveside services and burial for Mr. Robert Scottie Coffey will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the White Springs Cemetery in Blowing Rock. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Minton.
