She was born on April 17, 1918, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Sylvester Wiseman and Alice Scott Wiseman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilmer Coffey; and a daughter, Darlis Jean Pruitt. Mrs. Coffey was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her three sons, Calvin Coffey, of Buena Vista, Va., Tommy Coffey, of Rockbridge Baths, Va., and Ray Coffey, of Franklin, Tenn.; one daughter, Dorlene Snider; a twin sister, Margaret Coffey, both of Buena Vista; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Stone Church of Brethren with the Rev. Russ Barb officiating. Burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
