Coffey, Timmie J. "Bud", 65, of Thorn Hill was born Sept. 18, 1938 and passed away Fri., June 11, 2004 at his home. He was a member of the Coffey Chapel Baptist Church.

Timmie was a very well known native of Grainger County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna (Dalton) Coffey; parents, Leva and Everett Coffey; brothers, Kyle and Thea of Ohio. Henry Lee of Thorn Hill and Lonnie C. Coffey of Bean Station. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Melissa Coffey; daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Gerald Mullins, Robin and Jimmy Hold, all of Thorn Hill; grandchildren, Jason and Jacob Holt, Brittany Coffey; sister and brother-in-law, Nealie and AB Dalton, all of Thorn Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Phyllis Coffey, Ricky and Charlotte Coffey of Morristown; special nephew, Ricky Coffey; special friends, Dorothy Hayes and daughters, Thelma Vandergriff and Angela Woods, Polly Williams, Raymond Bolder, Mitchell Holt, Grand and Dixie Mills; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service 2 p.m. Mon., June 14 at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Jarnigan Cemetery. Ministers: the Rev. C. J. Dalton and the Rev. Larry Wolfe. Singers: Caney Valley Choir. The family will receive friends Sat. and from 5 to 9 p.m., Sun., June 13 at Coffey Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Justin Coffey, Michael Wolfe, Ricky Coffey, Greg Moore, Jeff Wood and Mitchell Holt. Honorary pallbearers: Charlie Brazzle, Buster Buell, Norman Black and all employees of Universal Bedroom, Inc.

Timmie J. "Bud" Coffey and Edna June Dalton were married on 18 July 1959 in Grainger Co., TN.⁴⁶⁹⁹⁵ Edna June Dalton, daughter of Lee Andrew Dalton and Grace M. Dalton, was born on 30 September 1939 in Tennessee. Edna died in Tennessee on 9 March 1984 and was buried at Dalton Cemetery in Thorn Hill, Grainger Co., TN on 12 March 1984 .⁴⁶⁹⁹⁴

Edna June Coffey, 44, of Rt. 1, Thorn Hill, died Friday, March 9, at her home.

She joined Cedar Spring Baptist Church at an early age.

Survivors include her husband, Timmie Coffey; a son, Scott Coffey; two daughters, Jill Coffey and Mrs. Robin Holt, and a grandson, Jason Holt, all of Thorn Hill. Also, she is survived by three brothers, Grover Dalton of Talbott, A. B. Dalton of Thorn Hill and Virgil Dalton of Kingsport; four sisters Mrs. Estelle Wolfe, Mrs. Edith Eddington and Mrs. Imogene Morgan, all of Morristown, and Mrs. Pauline Scearce of Thorn Hill, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Coffey's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. R. C. Dalton and Rev. Barnett Vaughn officiating. Burial was in the Dalton Cemetery.
