Mrs. Bumgarner was born in Wilkes County, May 8, 1911, to William Thomas and Rebecca Coffey Bumgarner. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Mrs. Bumgarner was preceded in the death by a sister, Ila B. Brookshire and a brother, Richard Bumgarner. In addition to her husband of 74 years, Mrs. Bumgarner is survived by two daughters, Jane B. Roe and her husband, Bob of North Wilkesboro, Dare B. Graham and her husband, Tom of Leavenworth, KS; five grandchildren, Michael Roe of Jacksonville, FL, Steve Roe and his wife, Angie of North Wilkesboro, James Roe and his wife, Selena of Wilkesboro, T. W. Graham of Silver Springs, Maryland, Andrew Graham of Leavenworth, KS; six great-grandchildren, Stephanie & Candice Roe of North Wilkesboro, Dylan & Jacob Roe of Wilkesboro, Perry & Alex Graham of Maryland.
