649. George W. Coffey was born circa 1801 in Russell Co., KY. George died in Adair Co., KY on 28 August 1856 fever²⁷²³
Not documented, but strong circumstantial evidence: George W. Coffey (b. ca 1801, KY, d. Aug. 28, 1856, Adair Co., KY) - by 1850 census, Albert G. Coffey was living in a boarding house in Jamestown, [Ky] so no census data on his parents, but earlier census show George W. having a son in this age range. When George died in 1856 his minor children (their mother was already dead) lived with Albert and his bride, and older children were married in Albert's home. It is documented that George's daughter, Nancy, was the mother of Jennie Louise Morris, wife of Liston Pancoast Coffey, which would make them first cousins. It is believed that George was son of Cleveland Coffey and Jane Witherspoon, based on reports of Cleveland's will and recorded ties with other children mentioned in said will.

Based on other researchers, that would lead to: Joel Coffey and Martha (Patsy) Stapp (Stepp), Edward Coffey, Jr., and Grace Cleveland. (Cheryl Harris, CCC 2005, p6)

George W. Coffey and Nancy Jane Browning were married before 1825.²⁷²⁴ They^²⁷²⁴ appeared in the census on 10 September 1850 in Russell Co., KY.²⁷²⁵ Nancy Jane Browning was born on 20 May 1806. Nancy died in Russell Co., KY on 31 January 1853 and was buried at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Russell Co., KY in February 1853 .²⁷²⁶

George W. Coffey and Elizabeth K. Reynolds were married on 12 October 1855 in Adair Co., KY.²⁷²⁷ Elizabeth K. Reynolds, daughter of Henry Reynolds and Nancy Sallee, was born on 7 January 1817 in Adair Co., KY. Elizabeth resided with her daughter, Loretta Richards in Denton, Denton Co., TX on 10 April 1910. Elizabeth died at at home on Maple St. at Ave. S in Denton Co., TX on 19 September 1911 of senility and was buried at IOOF Cemetery in Denton, Denton Co., TX in September 1911 .^{2728,2729,2730}
