Shirley Coffey Wright Mitchell, 84, of Vinton, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 4, 2014 after months of deterioration. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Lee Mitchell; parents, Edward Coffey and Beulah Wiseman Coffey; brothers, Junior, Charles, Lewis and Bruce Coffey.

Those that knew her were saddened by the struggle of her last days.She was a caregiver, a server and a friend to many. She loved simply and was extremely generous with her time, money and wisdom. Thankfully her suffering is done and she is rejoicing in Heaven now. We will miss her and honor her contributions to the lives of many people she touched. We can only hope to leave a legacy of giving love and easing suffering as she did. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Wright Hill (Delmar), Vinton; grandson, Eric Hill (Janalyn), Moneta; granddaughter, Tara Hill, Alexandria; great grandsons, Jaxon and Jayse Hill, Moneta. Also surviving is her sister, Bernice Grow, Buena Vista; brothers, Jerry Coffey (Pat), Roanoke, Fred Coffey (Judy), Buena Vista, Maynard Coffey, Vinton; several special nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Rev. Harry Leland officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, 2485 Lost Mt. Rd., Wirtz, VA 24184, (540) 719-1192.

Buena Vista - The marriage of Miss Shirley Elizabeth Coffey to Hayden Rudolph Wright was solemnized October 4 at 5:30 P.M. at the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. G. R. Jewell of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The bride, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Coffey of Buena Vista, wore a blue crepe dress with white accessories.
They⁴³⁵⁶² were separated between 1953 and 1954 in Buena Vista, Independent City, VA and were divorced They were divorced on 7 July 1970 in Buena Vista, Independent City, VA.⁴³⁵⁶³ Hayden Rudolph Wright, son of Forest M. Wright and Nettie Montgomery, was born on 9 May 1927 in Buena Vista, Independent City, VA. Hayden died in Virginia on 15 February 2015 and was buriedd at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Independent City, VA in February 2015 .^43564,43565

Hayden Rudolph Wright, 87, of Lynchburg, formerly of Buena Vista, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was born in Buena Vista on May 9, 1927, son of the late Forest M. Wright and Nettie Montgomery Wright.

{REST} Mr. Wright is surivived by a daughter, Linda Hill and husband, Delmer; two grandchildren; Eric Hill and wife, Janalyn, and Tara Hill; two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Jayse Hill; three brothers, Billy Wright and Claude Wright, of Buena Vista, Harvey Wright, of Natural Bridge Station; and a sister, Helen Bare, of Buena Vista.

A funeral service will held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
