Holzbach

Died January 20, 1972 in a local hospital. Mrs. Audrey Coffey Holzback of 7104 Walford Avenue. She is survived by her husband A. Holzbach, Sr., to daughters, Mrs. Sue Ann Crumpler of Durham, N.C., and Mrs. Dianne Gardner of Waldorf, Md., her stap-daughter, Mrs. Joyce Bowden of Richmond, her Step-son Lewis A. Holzbach, Jr. of Illinois, two sisters, Mrs. Doris Hafle of Frederick, Md., and Mra. Juanita Blosser of Buena Vista, Va., three brothers, Stratton, Clayton and Norman Coffey all of Lexington, Va., and thirteen grandchildren. The remains rest at the Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue, where services will be conducted at at 2 p.m. Saturday January 22, interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Flowers are acceptable or contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Audrey Coffey and Carlton Bosang McGinley were married on 22 August 1938 in Pulaski Co., VA. Carlton Bosang McGinley⁴²⁷⁵⁷, son of George Watson McGinley and Josephine Fisher, was born on 23 March 1911 in Pulaski Co., VA. Carlton died at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Independent City, VA on 20 February 1955 of coronary insufficency and was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum in Richmond, Independent City, VA on 22 February 1955 .^42758,42759

"George Watson McGinley and Josephine "Josie" Pepper Fisher moved to Pulaski [VA] about 1899, built a house at 39 5th St., NW. There Josie gave birth to five children in the front bedroom of that house, one child being my father, Carlton Bosang McGinley. Josie had a good friend, Susan Bosang, for whom she named my father.

"Josie saw that all of her children had music lessons and the girls had 'lady like' manners. Josie died at 37 years old from pneumonia, the whole household was devastated. She was born March 25, 1883 in Wythe County, Va., and died May 20, 1920 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski, VA. Her parents were Reuben Paulette Fisher and Ellen Caroline Hedrick."
