Zet appeared in the census on 23 April 1910 in Buena Vista, Independent City, VA.²⁸⁰¹⁸ He lived with the Hartless family in Richwood, Nicholas Co., WV on 26 January 1920.²⁸⁰¹⁹ Isaiah died at home in Buena Vista, Independent City, VA on 25 June 1953 of uremia and was buried at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Independent City, VA on 27 June 1953 .^{28020,28021,28022,28023}

Isaiah Coffey, 89, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Emory Davis, here Thursday night, June 25. Besides his daughter he is survived by three sons: Chester Coffey of Lynchburg; Guy Coffey of White Sulfur Springs, West Va., and Wade Coffey of Richmond; also 17 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 27, at 4 p.m. at the Amole Funeral Home with burial in Green Hill Cemetery.

Ida Ross Rogers, daughter of Benjamin F. Rogers and Julia Ann Coffey, was born in 1866 in Virginia. Ida died in Virginia in 1907.
