Martha Jane Coffey Dooley, born January 31, 1910 in Vesuvius, Virginia, passed away May 2, 2007 at Raleigh Court Healthcare in Roanoke, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Garland Alexander Dooley, her parents Edmund and Mary Jane Coffey and her brothers and sisters, Ida Bradley, Ethel Campbell, Robert Coffey, Rufus Coffey, Lucy Crawford, and Ozella Crawford. Her surviving relatives include Vera Aikens, Buena Vista, Virginia, Vivian Bradley, Waynesboro, Virginia, George Coffey, Greenville, Virginia, Ronnie Coffey, Florida, Ernestine Crawford, Buena Vista, Virginia, Esther Demastus, Spottswood, Virginia, Iva Evans, Waynesboro, Virginia, Janie Mullins, Fairhope, Alabama, Mary Pardo, Buckeye Lake, Ohio, and Joy Richardson, Golden, Colorado. Mrs. Dooley was a long term resident of Roanoke, Virginia. She was a devoted member of Villa Heights Baptist Church in Roanoke and was a Sunday School teacher who served the children of this church and Belmont Baptist Church for 50 years. Her funeral service will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 12 noon with Chaplain Marvin Barbre officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fair View Cemetery, Roanoke, Virginia. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 982-2100.
