Born May 28, 1928, in Shady Springs, Geneva was the daughter of the late Taylor Meredith and Ethel Leigh Meador. She was a teacher with 37 years service with Kanawha County schools, was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Hurricane, and was a great lover of animals. Geneva is survived by her loving husband, Tully Coffey; son, Gary Coffey and wife, Elizabeth, of Winfield; daughter, Jo Ann Coffey of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jason, Ashley, and Macy Coffey; and four sisters, Helen, Shirley, Jackie and Joyce. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, at Chapman Funeral Home, 3624 Winfield Road, Winfield, with Dr. Jeff Johnson and the Rev. Keith Creasy officiating. Entombment will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
