She was born Oct. 18, 1911, in Amherst, a daughter of Houston Crawford and Hallie Coffey Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell H. Coffey, and a son, Lewis Dean Coffey. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, Edward C. Coffey; one daughter, Betty Wilson Jablonka; one sister, Edna Berry; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be conducted tomorrow, Thursday, at 2 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Sarah Payne. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory. Virginia E. Crawford and Wendell Holmes Coffey were married circa 1927 in Virginia.
